Gender mainstreaming
The integration of the gender approach in climate action has been included in various decisions within the framework of the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement itself. There is ample evidence on the differentiated effects of climate change on women and men when a gender perspective is applied. On the other hand, it is necessary to include and count on women at the levels of responsibility and decision-making in the process of change towards an emission-neutral and climate-resilient development model, through empowerment and leadership that allows them to access decision-making on equal terms.
