Adapting the agricultural sector to climate change

Agriculture and livestock farming are at risk from the effects of climate change. It is therefore essential to implement adaptation measures to ensure sustainable food production in the face of these effects, while reducing CO2 emissions. There is still time!

Ecoavantis developed a specific project to help with dissemination, awareness raising and training on climate change adaptation. The aim is to facilitate the understanding of the different agents related to each topic and society in general, and to show how the measures applied are proving to be effective.

The complete project consists of seven interactive microsites, the first of which integrates general content on climate change adaptation and the others are related to six specific sectors: biodiversity, coasts, health, water, agriculture and livestock and the urban environment. In each case, the effects of change associated with the different areas and their derived risks are presented, followed by information on the adaptation measures that can be applied and examples of good practices that have been developed.
