One of the most tangible effects of climate change is the shift in seasonality. Winter and summer no longer start and end as they used to. Changing seasonality affects more things than we think, many with significant economic and social implications. And from the cascade of effects, we move to feedback cycles or vicious circles. What is known as positive feedback creates situations that lack regulation and control: a major example due to its magnitude is the effect on permafrost (soils that are theoretically always frozen). Climate change generates alterations in the climate system itself, with consequences that are not yet fully understood. There is much that can and must be done in relation to climate change: mitigating it (by reducing emissions and capturing CO2) and adapting to this new climate that is already here. In short, reorganizing our way of life and reducing our environmental footprint.
