This event aims to bridge the gap between academic research and practitioner communities, fostering a dialogue that emphasises the critical interplay between urban and global scales in addressing climate challenges. Cities, often seen as testing grounds for innovative climate solutions, are at the forefront of experimenting with transformative strategies. However, it is the alignment of these urban-level initiatives with broader global policies that can drive impactful change.

Objectives:

  • This event will explore how enhanced collaboration and knowledge exchange can facilitate the development of more effective and equitable climate strategies. By bringing together leading researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, the discussions will focus on identifying pathways that not only leverage urban innovation but also ensure that these local experiments contribute to meaningful global transformations. The goal is to create a shared understanding of the interdependencies between urban and global futures, showcasing how integration between these spheres is crucial for realising just and sustainable climate outcomes.
