Climate change has significant impacts on mental health, leading to issues such as anxiety, depression, and eco-anxiety. Individuals, especially young people, may experience heightened stress due to fears about the future, loss of homes, and the overall uncertainty of environmental changes. Extreme weather events can also result in trauma and displacement, further exacerbating mental health challenges. Additionally, the ongoing concern for the planet can lead to feelings of helplessness and despair. Addressing these mental health issues is crucial as communities adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change.
