The climate crisis is the defining challenge of our time, affecting every sector of society. It drives inequality, fuels conflict and undermines progress toward sustainable development. In this context, bold and inclusive climate action is not only urgent—it is essential. 

Objectives

  • Highlight the achievements of partner countries supported by AECID and UNDP across the three pillars of the Climate Promise: NDC Preparation, NDC implementation, and Inclusive Climate Action. 

  • Showcase country leadership and ownership in advancing climate ambition. 

  • Share lessons learned and best practices to inspire further action and investment. 

  • Present the future direction of the Climate Promise and reaffirm AECID’s continued engagement.
