Climate risks 1.5°C vs 2°C Global temperature

An additional 0.5°C can make all the difference for our planet's future. The Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C, prepared by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), will guide governments in making decisions about climate actions. It is evident that limiting the temperature increase to 1.5°C is safer than 2°C in terms of climate impact. Allowing global temperature to rise 2°C above pre-industrial levels will have devastating consequences, including the loss of natural habitats and species, the reduction of polar ice caps, and sea level rise. All of these will impact our health, jobs, human security, and economic growth. WWF Source
